2Fifty Texas BBQ Is a 2026 RAMMY Awards Finalist in Three Categories

On April 6, 2026, 2Fifty Texas BBQ was announced as a finalist in three RAMMY Awards categories: Restaurateur of the Year for Fernando González, Manager of the Year for Debby Portillo, and Hottest Sandwich Spot of the Year for 2Fifty Texas BBQ. That matters because the recognition reaches across leadership, operations, and what guests love most, instead of stopping at just one part of the business.
The RAMMYs are one of the region’s clearest snapshots of how the Washington-area restaurant community sees excellence right now. Finalists come from current RAMW member businesses, and most categories are selected through an anonymous judging process made up of food and dining journalists, educators, and industry professionals. Hottest Sandwich Spot, though, is different: that one is decided by public vote.
For 2Fifty, that makes this set of finalist spots especially meaningful. Fernando’s category points to vision. Debby’s points to standards on the floor and behind the counter. Hottest Sandwich Spot points to the part guests know firsthand when they bite into sliced brisket, pull-apart turkey, or a sandwich special that disappears before the day is over.
