Chef Fernando Gonzalez Joins DC's No Kid Hungry Dinner 2026

We are proud to share that on June 11, 2026, Chef Fernando Gonzalez served as a host chef for the annual No Kid Hungry DC Dinner.

Working alongside event Chair Erik Bruner-Yang and acclaimed chefs Kevin Tien and Adam Greenberg, Fernando contributed his signature wood-fired style to a curated menu created in support of the No Kid Hungry campaign.

The evening raised more than $900,000 to help ensure children across the country have access to the food they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

"BBQ is about nourishment and gathering," says Gonzalez. "I'm honored to use my craft to help ensure no child in this country grows up hungry."

For Fernando and 2fifty Texas BBQ, being part of this dinner was a reminder that food can carry responsibility beyond the plate. When chefs come together in service of something bigger, the impact can reach far past the dining room.
