Serving Smoke and Solidarity with World Central Kitchen

When the fire’s steady and the trays are hot, we’re not just feeding people:  we’re showing up for them.
That’s what brought us to Navy Yard this month, alongside World Central Kitchen, as many federal workers faced unexpected hardship and a growing need for support.

From the Pit to the People

We believe food has power. Not just to fill, but to remind someone they’re seen.

No Gas, No Gimmicks. Just Good Work.

World Central Kitchen moves fast in crisis. We’re proud to be part of their Chef Corps, a network of kitchens ready to mobilize when communities need support. At 2fifty, we’ve always believed barbecue teaches patience and purpose. This work is just another way to live it.
Hot food. Warm hands. Shared tables. That’s how we help.

We Feed Because We Care

This wasn’t about recognition. It was about doing what’s right with the tools we have: wood, fire, and a promise to serve with heart.
If you're wondering how to help, WCK is always looking for volunteers and donations.

Or just stop by the many restaurants supporting federal workers: Maketto, Mandu, Lebanese Taverna, Colada Shop, Ekiben amongst others and support local businesses doing their part.
We’ll keep the fire going.
