Six Years Strong, Fueled by Smoke and Soul
This past Monday, October 6, we celebrated six years since taking over the space that is now 2fifty in Riverdale Park. We gathered with our crew, our family, and friends to reflect on the road behind us and give thanks for everything this community has given in return.

A Story of Two Founders
Founded by Debby Portillo and Fernando González, 2fifty began as more than a restaurant idea. It was a shared dream to serve barbecue that honors tradition, culture, and craft. Debby, rooted in generations of kitchen leadership, brought the heart and the strategy. Fernando, a trained engineer turned pitmaster, brought the obsession with fire, feel, and flavor. His mantra? “All wood, all good.” No gas, no shortcuts just smoke and soul.
Deepest Thanks
None of this would mean anything without you. To our regulars, to the folks who drive hours just to get a tray, to those who recommend us without ever meeting us thank you. You’ve made 2fifty more than a restaurant. It’s a place where cultures meet, where community breathes, and where craft lives.

We’re still fired up like it’s day one. No rushing. Just slow fire, soulful technique, and respect for the process. The table’s always set, and we’re always ready to feed you right.
Made slow. Served warm. Meant to share. See you at 2fifty.
