Wine of the Month: Lakewood “Candeo Bubbly”

Lakewood “Candeo Bubbly” comes to us from a family-run vineyard in the Finger Lakes of New York, grown along the deep, cool waters of Seneca Lake. It is made from 100% Cayuga White, a grape developed for this region, known for its bright fruit and crisp edge.

In the glass, it is lively and refreshing. Light-bodied, with vibrant acidity and soft bubbles that lift notes of lemon and grapefruit. It sits right at the edge of dry, just enough fruit to keep it playful, never heavy.

The kind of sparkle that wakes up your palate and resets it for the next bite. At the smokehouse, that matters.

Barbecue carries weight. Smoke clings. Fat lingers. Candeo Bubbly cuts through all of it with ease. It works beautifully with brisket and ribs, but it really shines alongside sausage, turkey, and any tray with a few sides in the mix. A sip between bites keeps everything balanced and bright.

We are pouring it in a 187 ml split, a single-serve bottle sealed tight to keep those bubbles fresh. It is generous enough for one, easy to open, and just right for lunch on the patio or a casual dinner when you want something sparkling without committing to a full bottle.

This is a wine that feels relaxed. Uncomplicated. Ready for the table.

Come by this month and try Lakewood “Candeo Bubbly” with your tray. Order it cold, let the bubbles do their work, and see how well sparkle plays with smoke.‍
